EVENT DESCRIPTION

Event Type:  Lecture (This is an NIH Science event)

Title:  Biochemistry Illustrated: Monitoring Signaling Kinases in Their Natural Habitat

Description:  Dr. Yudushkin currently works for the Center for Medical Biochemistry in Department of Structural and Computational Biology at the Medical University of Vienna as the Junior group leader/Associate for Max F. Perutz Laboratories since May 2012.

His lab is currently developing tools to visualize the functional state of signaling molecules in live cells to determine how spatial distribution, regulation of spatial distribution, regulation of specific activity and the corresponding changes in the flux of substrates via individual enzymes determine their signaling function. Furthermore, to examine the physiological relevance if individual enzymes in signaling, the will be developing new tools to selectively manipulate their localization and activity in live cells.

Videocast:  Event will not be videocast

Special Instructions:  To arrange sign language interpretation for an event go to the Office
