Event Type:  Seminar (This is an NIH Science event)

Title:  Stadtman Seminar: Intertwined tumorigenesis highways: Ras and Hippo in growth control - Fisun Hamaratoglu Dion, Ph.D.

Description:  Dr. Hamaratoglu Dion identified the Neurofibromatosis type II (NF2) gene, merlin, as an upstream regulator of the Hippo pathway, and was also involved in identifying four other new components of this signaling cascade including its first receptor, Fat. Her recent work combines genomics, genetics and computational approaches to reveal that the transcriptional output of Ras signaling is under the control of Hippo.
