Title:  HPV Natural History in HIV+ Women and Its Clinical Implications
 
Description:  Dr. Howard Strickler will be presenting on the HPV natural history in HIV+ women and relevant clinical complications. He is internationally recognized for his work on human papillomavirus (HPV) natural history in women who test positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). His research has had a major impact on the current clinical guidelines for cervical cancer screening in women with HIV. He is a long-term member of the U.S. Public Health Service/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/National Institutes of Health task force (HPV disease section) to set clinical guidelines for disease prevention and treatment of adult HIV+ patients. He has received several honors from NCI and NIH for his research on HPV and cervical disease among HIV+ women.
